The company wishes to announce that it became aware on 20 September 2000 
that Mr J Martin (Chief Executive) and Mr T J Kowalski (Finance Director)
technically ceased to be beneficially interested in all of the shares of 
10p each in the company held by the N Brown Group Qualifying Employee Share
Ownership Trust ('the QUEST'), by virtue of the QUEST transferring all of 
the shares to various employees of the company (not including Mr Martin or 
Mr Kowalski).
