                        APPOINTMENT OF NEW FUND MANAGER


Brooks Macdonald Group PLC today announces the recruitment of another private
client fund manager with immediate effect. Julian Robertson joins the Asset
Management team in London. He was formerly of Gerrards for eight years where he
was a divisional director.

Chris Macdonald, Chief Executive of Brooks Macdonald Group PLC said:
