The British Land Company PLC announces the following transactions in the
Company's ordinary shares ('shares') of 25p by a director of the Company which
were notified to the Company on 8th February 2000.
The sale by Mr N S J Ritblat of 2,023 shares at a price of 349p on 7th
February 2000, and his subsequent purchase of 1,975 shares at a price of
351.5p on the same day into an Individual Savings Account.
