March 2005 of the following purchases of the Company's ordinary shares of 25p
each by Directors of the Company:

N S J Ritblat                                  1,798 at 887 p each



These purchases were in consequence of standing elections to participate in the
Company's Dividend Re-investment Plan, whereby cash dividends are automatically
reinvested in the Company's shares.   These shares were purchased on 18th
February 2005 and credited to the Directors' accounts on 4th March 2005.
