Company's ordinary shares of 25p by Directors of the Company on 20th February
2004:

Lord Burns                                     1 at 629.038p.



These purchases were in consequence of standing elections to participate in the
Company's Dividend Re-investment Plan, whereby cash dividends are automatically
reinvested in the Company's shares.
