ordinary shares of 25p by Directors of the Company on 21st  February 2003:

Lord Burns                                    3 at 421.701p each



These purchases were in consequence of standing elections to participate in the
Company's Dividend Re-investment Plan, whereby cash dividends are automatically
reinvested in the Company's shares.
