British American Tobacco PLC 18 January 2005 The following announcement was made today by British American Tobacco's Canadian subsidiary. With effect from 11 February, Luc Jobin will also cease to be a member of the British American Tobacco Management Board. Imperial Tobacco Names New President & CEO The Chairman of the Board of Imperial Tobacco Canada, Don Brown, announces that Luc Jobin, currently President and Chief Executive Officer, has informed the Board of his decision to leave for another opportunity, effective February 11, 2005. Mr. Benjamin Kemball will replace Luc Jobin as the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 11, 2005. Benjamin Kemball brings 25 years of experience in the tobacco industry, most recently as President of Cigarrera Bigott in Venezuela, part of BAT group. "Everyone in the company takes this opportunity to wish Luc Jobin well in his future endeavours, as well as to thank him for his 21 years of dedication to the group, both at Imasco and at Imperial Tobacco Canada. He must be commended not only for his commitment, but for the excellent work that he has accomplished while in the company and during his tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer," said Mr. Brown.
