a non-executive Director of British American Tobacco p.l.c. purchased 5,000
British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") at a price of
624p per Share.

Following these transactions, Mr Wong has a beneficial interest in 8,000 Shares.
