1.         The Company was notified on 30 March 2016 that the independent Trustee of the British American Tobacco Group Employee Trust had on 22 March 2016 released the following number of British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") granted to the following persons discharging managerial responsibilities under the 2013 Deferred Share Bonus Scheme ("2013 DSBS"):
