NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS

Notifications made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules.

1.    The Company was notified on 14 May 2015 by the trustee of the British American Tobacco Employee Share Ownership Plan (the "UK Plan") that on 8 May 2015 ordinary shares of 25p each in British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the "Shares") were purchased for the following Executive Directors and persons discharging managerial responsibilities (together the "Participants") at a price of 3,587.359 pence per Share as a result of the reinvestment of dividends by the trustee in accordance with the UK Plan.

2.    The Company was notified on 14 May 2015 that on 8 May 2015, as a result of the reinvestment of the cash equivalent of the Company's 2014 final dividend on shares held on their behalf by Computershare Company Nominees Limited as administrator of the Company's vested share account, the Participants acquired Shares at a price of 3,587.359 pence per Share.
