N W Otley Resigns as Chairman

As announced at the time of the Swallowfield plc interim statement on 16
September 1999, Mr N W Otley has confirmed his resignation as Chairman of
Swallowfield plc as of 31 October 1999.  Mr Richard Organ, currently senior
non-executive Director, will take the Chair pending the announcement of a
successor in due course.
