Swallowfield plc announces that it was informed on 2 November 2004 of the
following changes during October in the shareholding of Hunter Hall Global
Ethical Trust ('Hunter Hall') in Swallowfield plc.



On 6 October 2004 Hunter Hall sold 50,000 shares in the Company; on 12 October
2004 Hunter Hall sold a further 50,000 shares in the Company; and on 26 October
2004 Hunter Hall sold 25,000 shares in the Company.



Following these transactions, Hunter Hall remains interested in 403,133 shares,
representing 3.70 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.
