Swallowfield plc announces that it was informed on 2 June 2006 that the Union
Discount Company of London Ltd purchased 50,000 ordinary shares in the Company
on 1 June 2006.  Swallowfield plc was further informed today that the Union
Discount Company of London Ltd purchased 195,000 ordinary shares in the Company
on 5 June 2006.  The Union Discount Company of London Ltd is now interested in
1,569,000 ordinary shares in the Company, representing approximately 13.9 per
cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
