Swallowfield plc is pleased to announce that Peter Houston (MSc. FCA) will join
the Company as Group Finance Director with effect from 8 May 2006.

Peter joins Swallowfield having been the Group Finance Director of TripleArc plc
and Access Plus Plc, both AIM listed companies. Prior to these roles, Peter
qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and worked as a
corporate finance advisor for 10 years with Ernst & Young.

Ian Mackinnon, Chief Executive, commented:

'Peter brings a wealth of financial, strategic and commercial experience to the
Board and will be a valuable addition to the management team. I am delighted
that Peter has joined us to assist in the continuation of the recovery process.'

There is no further information to be disclosed in respect of paragraph 9.6.13
of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
