Swallowfield plc announces that Mr J. A. Wardell, a non-executive director of
the Company, has informed the Company of his intention not to seek re-election
at the Company's forthcoming Annual General Meeting on 8 November 2007 and to
resign with effect from that date.

Shena Winning, the Chairman, commented 'Swallowfield plc is indebted to Tony
Wardell for his dedication and leadership over the past 20 years.  Tony joined
the Group in 1963 and led the management buyout of Swallowfield in 1986, and was
its Managing Director until he moved across to a non-executive role in March
2006.  He is a well respected figure in the Toiletries and Cosmetics industries,
and his contribution to both markets will be sorely missed.  We wish him all the
very best in his retirement.'
