Swallowfield plc announces today that Jennifer Bryant-Pearson, a non-executive
Director, has confirmed that she will not be seeking re-election to the Board at
the end of the current financial year, 30 June 2003.



Mrs Bryant-Pearson has confirmed that an increase in her other commitments, and
an increasing amount of time out of the country, have prompted this decision
which allows time for the Nominations Committee to find a suitable replacement
as non-executive Director.



The Board unanimously expressed their thanks to Jennifer for her wise counsel
and contribution over the last six years and express their best wishes for her
ongoing success.
