Swallowfield announces that it has today granted options to acquire ordinary
5p shares to three directors of the Company.  The options have been granted
for nil consideration and may be exercised at any time between 25 April 2004
and 25 April 2011 at a price of 1171/2p per share.  The number of shares over
which options have been granted are as follows.


J A Wardell                                          75,000
I A Mackinnon                                        50,000
B J Williamson                                       45,000


In addition to these options I A Mackinnon and B J Williamson hold options to
acquire 5p ordinary shares as follows:
