                            Directors' Shareholdings

Swallowfield plc announces that on 9 January 2008 Shena Winning, Chairman of the
Company, purchased 5,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 81p per
share.  In addition Ian Mackinnon (Chief Executive) and the wife of Peter
Houston (Finance Director) each purchased 4,000 ordinary shares respectively at
81p per share.  The amounts of the individual purchases and the resultant
beneficial shareholdings are noted below:
