The Company received notification on 16 July 2007 that Smith & Williamson
Nominees Limited, a nominee company used by Smith & Williamson Investment
Management Limited has an interest in 8,333,333 ordinary shares of 1p each in
the Company ('Ordinary Shares'), which represents 5.09% of the Company's issued
Ordinary Share capital. This holding represents the commitment of Stephen
Hemsley to subscribe for 8,333,333 new Ordinary Shares in a placing that was
announced on 9 July 2007.
