BRDC MembersResponses to Prop

BRANDS HATCH LEISURE GROUP PLC 13 September 1999 BRANDS HATCH LEISURE PLC ('BHL') ANNOUNCES BRDC MEMBERS RESPONSES TO BHL PROPOSALS Brands Hatch Leisure PLC ('BHL') is today writing to members of the BRDC to advise them of members responses to the proposals put forward by BHL in July. The responses, which have and will continue to remain completely confidential, are summarised in the report from independent registrars IRG. Commenting on the IRG summary, BHL Chief Executive Nicola Foulston said 'It is clear from these responses that there are a number of members who wish for their Board to enter into discussions with BHL.' 'Contrary to weekend press speculation and in view of the result we will not be approaching the BRDC Board to enter into discussions. In signing the British GP contract from 2002 we have already secured significant additional revenue streams for the Group and we have bigger fish to fry, particularly the pursuit of our first overseas project which we expect to finalise by Christmas 1999.' 'Last weeks submission of a detailed planning application with environmental assessment for specific works to be carried out at Brands Hatch in respect of the 2002 Grand Prix took place following four months of intensive work. We remain totally focused on this application.' Contact: Nicola Foulston, 0171 466 5010 Chief Executive BHL PLC
