Letter To Company Announcements Office

We write to notify you that arising out of the operation of The BP Amoco Savings
Related Share Option  Scheme: -

- On 8 December 1999 all the Directors of BP Amoco PLC named below acquired as
potential beneficiaries of the employee benefits trust established to operate
The BP Amoco Savings Related Share Option Scheme (an Inland Revenue approved
employee share option scheme) an interest in 88,239 BP Amoco US$0.25 Ordinary
shares subscribed for by the trustees of the trust at a price of £6.06 per share
to satisfy options under the Scheme: -

Dr J G S Buchanan
Mr RF Chase
Mr HL Fuller
Dr CS Gibson-Smith
Mr RL Olver
Mr BK Sanderson

- On the same day, the above Directors of BP Amoco plc ceased to have an
interest in the 88,239 Amoco US$0.25 Ordinary shares as a consequence of the
disposal of the shares by the trustees of the trust to the option holders
exercising their options under the Scheme.
