Gibson-Smith, a Director of BP Amoco plc:

*         purchased 245 BP Amoco Ordinary shares @£11.20 per share through the
BP Amoco Employee Share Ownership Trust with a vesting date of 2 July 1999;

*         acquired a beneficial interest in 245 BP Amoco Ordinary shares
@£11.135 on 2 July 1999 through the BP Amoco Employee Share Ownership Trust;

*         was granted an option over 1,077 BP Amoco Ordinary shares @£8.99 per
share under the BP Amoco Sharesave Scheme on 2 July 1999, exercisable between 1
September 2004 and 28 February 2005.
