We write to advise you that we have today been informed by Mr R.L Olver, a
director of B.P Amoco plc., that on 22 August 1999 he ceased to have an interest
in 550 BP Amoco Ordinary shares registered in his name, having transferred those
shares to his daughter by way of gift.
