We write to advise you that we have today been informed by Mr R.L. Olver, a
director of BP Amoco p.l.c., that on 18th August 1999 he sold 1,400 BP Amoco
Ordinary shares at £12.28 per share and on the same day his wife Mrs P.K. Olver
sold 6,600 BP Amoco Ordinary shares at £12.36 per share.
