We write to notify you that arising out of the operation of the BP Savings
Related Share Option Scheme:-
- on 4 July 2001 all the directors of BP p.l.c. named below acquired, as
potential beneficiaries of the employee benefit trust established to operate
The BP Savings Related Share Option Scheme (an Inland Revenue approved
employee share option scheme) an interest in 58,886 BP Ordinary shares
subscribed for by the trustees of the trust at a price of £5.82 per share to
satisfy options under the Scheme:-
Sir John Browne
Dr J.G.S. Buchanan
Mr R.F. Chase
Mr R.L. Olver
- on the same day, the above directors of BP plc, ceased to have an interest
in the 58,886 BP Ordinary shares as a consequence of the disposal of the
shares by the trustees of the trust to the optionholders exercising their
options under the Scheme.
