The Company announces that it received notice on 23 August 2005
 that The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., including its direct and indirect
subsidiaries, had an interest of 1,018,198 ordinary shares of 10p each
in the Company, representing 4.82% of the issued share capital of the
 Company. Of these shares, 1,006,598 will be registered in the name of
 Goldman Sachs Securities (Nominees) Limited and 11,600 will be
registered at CREST in account CREPTEMP.

This represents the entire holding of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. in
the issued share capital of the Company.
