Director's Interest

The Remuneration Committee of Bowleven plc has resolved to approve the vesting of 23,980 ordinary shares of £0.10 in Bowleven to Ed Willett, Bowleven's Exploration Director, pursuant to the terms of the Bowleven Long Term Incentive Plan ("the Plan"). 

This award, which is effective from 29 March 2010, represents 20% of the total number of shares included in the award made to Mr Willett on 22 March 2007.  

The balance of the 2007 Award in favour of Mr Willett, being 95,924 shares, lapse in accordance with the Plan rules on 29 March 2010.

Following the vesting of this award under the Plan Ed Willett's shareholding in the Company is 176,217 shares, representing approximately 0.09% of the current issued share capital of the Company.
