The Company announces that on 27 January 2010 the following share purchase was made by a Director of Bowleven plc:-

Edward Willett, Exploration Director of the Company, acquired 50,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of £1.065 per share. Following this transaction, Edward Willett's total shareholding in the Company is 152,237 shares, representing 0.08% of the issued share capital of the Company.
