Agreement for selling accessories with EE

Boku (AIM: BOKU), the world's leading independent direct carrier billing company, is pleased to announce the signing of a new agreement with EE, the UK's largest Mobile Network Operator.

The agreement relates to the addition of carrier billing to EE's online accessories store, giving customers the opportunity to pay for accessories from the EE marketplace using their EE phone account.

The purchase of physical goods using carrier billing is normally prohibited in Europe; Boku is authorised by the FCA as an e-money issuer and this provides a way for Carriers and Merchants to offer consumers a legal way to purchase physical goods and charge it to their phone. This will allow EE to further realise the potential of the EE store, with customers purchasing goods such as phone cases or headphones through Boku's direct carrier billing platform.

Jon Prideaux, CEO of Boku, commented:

"In Europe carrier billing is ordinarily restricted to digital goods, but Boku, through its investment in its e-money programme is delighted to launch this service which allows EE customers to buy physical goods and accessories at the EE store."

Notes to Editors

Incorporated in 2008, Boku is the leading independent direct carrier billing company in the world. Boku's technology enables mobile phone users, of which there are more than five billion worldwide, to buy goods and services and charge them to their mobile phone bill or pre-pay balance.

Boku's platform connects its customers, including Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Spotify and Sony, with billing, identity and sales systems of mobile network operators. The Group's technology makes a consumer's mobile phone number a convenient and secure payment method, providing an alternative to credit and debit cards. By using Boku, merchants take people with mobile phones and make them paying users.
