Purchase of Own Securities

Blue Planet European Financials Investment Trust plc ("The Company")
Additional Listing

Application has today been made to the London Stock Exchange and the 
UK Listing Authority for the additional listing of 3,400 ordinary 
50pence shares in the Company.

These shares, ranking pari passu in all respects with the existing 
ordinary shares have been allotted pursuant to the exercise of warrants.

Admission is expected to become effective on 05 July 2002.
