                      Re Admission to the Official List


Application has today been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London
Stock Exchange for 1,748,523 new ordinary shares of 5p each held under option
pursuant to the 1994 Approved Executive Share Option Scheme and the 1994
Unapproved Executive Share Option Scheme to be admitted to the Official List
under block listing procedures. Admission is expected to become effective on 1
June 2001.
