                            HOLDING(S) IN COMPANY

The Company was notified by Universities Superannuation Scheme Limited ('USS')
on 10 July 2001 that, following a recent purchase of 65,000 ordinary shares of
5p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares'), USS have an interest in 525,500
Ordinary Shares, which represents 3.11 per cent. of the issued share capital
of the Company.
