                    DEALINGS BY DIRECTORS


The  Company  was  today informed that the  Jemma  Trust,  a
family  trust  to  which Mr Nigel Newton,  Chairman  of  the
Company,  is  connected, sold 68,500 ordinary shares  of  5p
each  ('Ordinary  Shares')  at 700p  on  17  December  1999.
Following  this transaction, Mr Newton is now interested  in
772,407 Ordinary Shares, representing 5.51 per cent. of  the
current issued share capital.
