         EXERCISE OF OPTIONS AND DEALING BY DIRECTOR


The Company was yesterday informed that Elisabeth Calder,  a
director  of the Company, yesterday exercised options  over,
and  subsequently sold at 497.5p, 34,206 ordinary shares  of
5p each ('Ordinary Shares').

Following  these  transactions Elisabeth Calder's interests
are unchanged.
