   Notification of Interests of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial
                 Responsibility ('PDMR') and connected persons


Bloomsbury announces the following changes to the interests of Directors and
PDMRs in the Company's ordinary shares of 1.25p each ('Shares').

On 4 November 2005 the Company made the following awards of Shares ('Awards')
under the Bloomsbury Performance Share Plan 2005 ('PSP'):

to 0.23 % of the issued share capital of the Company.

Awards granted under the PSP will vest on 4 November 2008, but only to the
extent that certain performance criteria based on earnings per share growth and
total shareholder return are satisfied by the Company over a three year
performance period.  No consideration is payable for the grant of the Awards and
the receipt of Shares is conditional upon meeting the performance criteria.  It
is intended that the Company's employee benefit trust will acquire shares
(either by way of subscription for new shares, market purchase or from treasury)
necessary to fulfil any obligation arising from the vesting of the Awards.


The notification of these Awards is intended to satisfy the Company's
obligations under Section 324 of the Companies Act 1985 and Disclosure Rule
3.1.4.
