Bloomsbury Publishing plc ('Bloomsbury' or the 'Company')

Bloomsbury Publishing Plc was advised on 21 September 2005 that Louis Baum,
spouse of Liz Calder, an Executive  Director, sold 2,306 ordinary shares of 1.25
pence each in the Company at a price of 347 pence per share on 20 September
2005. Following the sale Ms Calder remains interested in 29,367 ordinary shares
in the Company.
