Bloomsbury Publishing PLC 24 November 2005 24 November 2005 APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Bloomsbury Publishing Plc today announces the appointment of Jeremy Wilson (56) as a non-executive director with immediate effect. Mr Wilson is the Head of Financial Institutions at Barclays Bank, which he joined in 1972, with global responsibility for the bank's financial institution clients. During his career at Barclays, Mr Wilson has held a variety of senior management positions, both in the UK and abroad, responsible for major corporate and institutional clients. He has several external interests including appointments in the educational field. Commenting on the appointment, Nigel Newton, Chairman of Bloomsbury said: 'Jeremy Wilson brings considerable experience to our board and we expect to benefit particularly from his City and banking background. Given his career at Barclays, he has a strong understanding of the requirements of a growing business and wide international contacts.' Mr Wilson brings the number of Bloomsbury non-executive directors to four, out of a total board of seven. He holds no current directorships of any other publicly quoted company and there are no disclosures required under paragraphs 9.16.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
