Merrill Lynch World Mining Trust plc - Voting Rights and Capital


In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6 we
would like to notify the market of the following:

Merrill Lynch World Mining Trust plc's capital consists of 168,298,906 ordinary
shares with voting rights and 33,659,228 warrants which do not convey voting
rights.  Merrill Lynch World Mining Trust plc does not hold any shares in
Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Merrill Lynch World Mining Trust
plc is 168,298,906.

The above figure (168,298,906) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Merrill Lynch World Mining
Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
