3i SMALLER QUOTED COMPANIES TRUST PLC

The Company announces that, as a result of a reorganisation of 3i Group plc's
corporate structure for regulatory purposes, management responsibilities in
respect of the Company have, with effect from today, been transferred from 3i
Asset Management Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of 3i Group plc, to 3i
Investments plc, a fellow wholly-owned subsidiary of 3i Group plc.

There has been no change to the main commercial or financial terms of the
management contract.
