Merrill Lynch Latin American Investment Trust PLC

Further to the announcement made yesterday, the Company announces that The
Registrar of Companies has issued the certificate of incorporation on change of
name and therefore the name of the Company has been changed to Merrill Lynch
Latin American Investment Trust PLC with effect from 9 May 2006.
