Quarterly Dividend Announcement



The Board of Merrill Lynch Commodities Income Investment Trust plc is pleased to
announce that a fourth quarterly dividend of 1.3125p per ordinary share has been
declared by the Directors, payable on 27 January 2007 to holders of ordinary
shares on the register at the close of business on 29 December 2006 (ex dividend
date is 27 December 2006). This makes a total dividend of 4.5 pence per ordinary
share for the period ended 30 November 2006, which is in excess of the initial
target dividend of 4.25 pence per ordinary share.
