Forbidden Technologies PLC 19 December 2001 FORBIDDEN TECHNOLOGIES PLC Elsevier Health Sciences to use video compression technology Forbidden Technologies plc, which was established to develop technology for video distribution over the internet, announces that the Health Sciences International division of Elsevier Science (a leading medical publishing group) is to use Forbidden Technologies plc's video compression technology to enhance its internal management communication in early 2002. Pre-recorded video will update staff in 22 countries on strategy and progress via a corporate extra-net. Forbidden Technologies will provide the video compression and playback capability to allow Health Sciences International to transmit its message via large, high frame rate video. Forbidden Technologies' Business Development Director Greg Hirst commented: 'This exciting project will demonstrate the power of corporate video to provide a consistent and readily accessible mechanism to keep people in touch with events throughout a world-wide organisation.
