FORscene Cloud to be hosted by Atos in South Africa

Forbidden Technologies, the AIM quoted owner and developer of the FORscene cloud-based video editing platform, is pleased to announce that Atos (Pty) Ltd, a systems integrator in South Africa ("Atos"), has entered into a memorandum of understanding ("MoU") with Forbidden.  In accordance with the MoU, Atos plans to license FORscene to run on its own cloud infrastructure within the African continent.

The proposed licence agreement will allow Atos to add FORscene to its South African portfolio of solutions and to run its own FORscene Cloud, providing hosting and administration, customer support and consulting on web enabled workflow solutions to media clients in South Africa and across the African continent, including broadcasters, advertising agencies and advertisers in the African continent.

The licensing of a full FORscene Cloud Server by a  major systems integrator rapidly adds delivery capacity by making FORscene available through a third party with global reach.

Mark Gordon, Country Manager, Atos, South Africa, said:

"Our media clients are searching for collaborative video tools and the cloud-based platform FORscene meets this need. The geography of South Africa and the African continent lends itself to remote, wide area working. We plan to use FORscene to provide collaborative solutions to our clients in review and approval, metadata addition, repurposing and editing across many areas in the media industry."

Greg Hirst, Business Development Director, Forbidden Technologies, said:

"Forbidden has recognised the need to extend its business to more geographies for some time. We are delighted to have signed a contract with Atos which will allow them to offer services based upon their own FORscene Cloud. Atos' proven ability to provide consulting, sales, delivery and technical support opens the door for a major expansion of our global user base."

Stephen Streater, CEO, Forbidden Technologies, said: "This deal reflects the growing market credibility and the significance and benefits of cloud video workflows."
