("Forbidden" or the "Company")

Forbidden Technologies partners with EditShare

The Board of AIM quoted Forbidden Technologies plc, the developer of the market  leading Cloud video platform FORscene, is pleased to announce that is has formed a partnership with EditShare - a technology leader in cross platform collaborative editing and shared media storage. As a result, EditShare will integrate FORscene's Server - adding Cloud-based editing functionality to its software.

Cloud-based editing facility FORscene has already handled over 1,000,000 hours of professionally shot material and it is now targeting expansion in the broadcast market worldwide.  This planned expansion will be carried out using well respected industry partners - such as EditShare, who can provide appropriate hardware for FORscene in international markets.

With the integrated system, FORscene users will be able to access video on EditShare storage. This is then transcoded before being added to the FORscene Cloud. After working on the material as normal in FORscene, users can export Edit Decision Lists (EDLs) to conform their edits on the EditShare system.

Following further integration, which is currently taking place, the FORscene Server software will be able to run entirely on EditShare hardware. This will allow EditShare customers to upgrade and include the FORscene functionality. Additionally, new international FORscene customers will be able to buy a combined system from EditShare.

James Richings, Managing Director, EditShare EMEA, commented:

"FORscene has succeeded in providing flexible and reliable Cloud services to the professional and broadcast video sectors. I welcome the ability to offer this service to our customers in conjunction with EditShare's popular products in a tightly integrated post-production solution."

Stephen B. Streater, CEO of Forbidden Technologies added:

"As Forbidden continues to expand, we have been developing partnerships with established specialists in our major market areas. EditShare is well known and respected internationally in the broadcast industry. Forbidden's focus will continue to be on our core competences of the creation, hosting and support of our Cloud-based video post-production platform and the supporting of our partners."
