Statement of Investment Policy


Further to the recent publication of the Investment Entities (Listing Rules and
Conduct of Business) Instrument 2003. The Board of Finsbury Life Sciences
Investment Trust PLC (the 'Company') announces that it is the Company's policy
to invest no more than 15% of its gross assets in other listed investment
companies (including listed investment trusts).  Other than its investment in
the Merlin Fund which it has held since inception, the Company has never had a
holding in an investment company of any sort, and the directors do not currently
envisage any circumstances in which it is likely to do so in future.
