Board Changes
Billington, one of the UK's leading structural steel and construction safety solutions specialists, today announces the appointment of Dr Alexander Ospelt as a Non-Executive Director, with effect from 1 January 2013. Additionally, Peter Hems, currently Executive Chairman of the Group, is to change his title to Non-Executive Chairman from the same date.
Alexander Wolfang Ospelt, aged 44, is a partner of Ospelt & Partner Rechtsanwalte AG in Liechtenstein. Alexander does not hold any shares, but he is a director of Gutenga Investments PCC Limited (which holds 6,451,318 Ordinary Shares in Billington, representing 49.87 per cent of the total number of issued shares in the Company) and a director of Tarom Foundation (which holds 2,645,000 Ordinary shares in Billington, representing 20.45 per cent of the total number of issued shares in the Company).
Commenting on the appointment, Peter Hems, Executive Chairman of Billington, said:

His appointment will enhance relationships with our two largest shareholders while his skill set and extensive commercial experience adds strength and diversity to our current Board of Directors.
