Disclosure of directors interests

Berkeley Berry Birch plc (BBB) was advised on 13 February 2003 that Mrs Suzanne
Herring, wife of Selwyn Herring, a non executive director of BBB, purchased
10,000 BBB ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of 46.5p each and a further
3,500 shares at a price of 46.75p on 13 February 2003. Following this
transaction, Mr Herring is now deemed to be interested in 621,819 10p  ordinary
shares of BBB, representing 0.71% of the issued share capital.
