Disclosure of directors interests



Berkeley Berry Birch plc (BBB) was advised on 10 February 2003 that Mrs Alison
Nicola Lockyer, wife of Clifford P Lockyer, Chief Executive of BBB, purchased
40,000 BBB ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of 44p each on 5 February
2003.

Following this transaction, Mr Lockyer is deemed to be interested in 28,775,052
10p  ordinary shares of BBB, representing 32.97% of the issued share capital.
