Director shareholding

Big Yellow Group PLC ("Company") announces that Stephen Homer, an executive
director of the Company, exercised an option to acquire 150,000 Ordinary Shares
at 100 pence per share on Monday 13th September.  This option was granted to him
under the Big Yellow Group PLC Unapproved Share Option Plan on 5th May 2000.
Following this transaction, Stephen Homer's total holding in the Company is
1,001,500 Ordinary Shares in the Company.
