Directors shareholding

Big Yellow Group plc ("Company") announces that it was informed on 12 June 2002
that David White, non-executive Chairman of the Company, bought 20,000 ordinary
shares today at 100.5 pence per share. This results in a total beneficial
holding by David White of 220,000 ordinary shares.

The Company also announces that it was informed on 12 June 2002 that Stephen
Homer, a director of the Company, sold 20,000 ordinary shares today at 100.5
pence per share. This results in a total beneficial holding by Stephen Homer of
783,880 ordinary shares.
